One of the most important activities within WideAngle is viewing the Briefs from your team.
There are a few different ways to reach the Briefs listing screen.
From the Nav
Your teams' Briefs can be accessed from the Navigation using Team -> Briefs. Accessing the page through this menu applies the default filter of "Current Only".
From the Homepage Status Widget
The Brief status widget on the homepage updates with the state of the Brief. If there is an active brief open to the team, there will be a call to action that will allow you to access all Briefs for that Team in the current stage.
You can also access all Briefs from that team, without any additional filters, by clicking the "View Briefs" screen.
Viewing and Filtering Your Team's Briefs
The Brief listing screen allows you to drill down via specific filters.
Dates
You can filter by Briefs that are currently active with the "Current Only" filter. If you would like to find a Brief in a specific time period, then you can use the Date Filter which appears when the "Current Only" filter is deselected.
Brief Status
If you want to see Briefs only in a certain stage, you select one or more with the Brief Status filter
The breakdown of Brief Status is as follows:
- All -- Briefs in any state
- Awaiting Completion -- Briefs that have been sent to the direct report but have not been completed or submitted
- Ready for Review -- Briefs that the direct report has submitted but which the manager has not yet reviewed
- Closed -- Briefs that have expired or are not completable because of a status change
Teams (Roles)
You can view only the Briefs for direct reports in a specific team with the Team filter. Teams are just another name for Role within WideAngle.
Team Members
You can also view Briefs only for specific individuals with the Members Filter. When used in conjunction with the Team Filter, only Team members from that Team will be selectable.
FAQ
Q: How do I see Briefs for users that I no longer manage? Is their data lost?
A: WideAngle does not show past Briefs of previous direct reports though these lists, but they are still there. They can be accessed via the direct links from emails.
