Briefs come in two flavors, Dynamic and Static. This help article covers Dynamic Briefs.
Dynamic Briefs allow managers to set a large list of questions that will be automatically rotated into and out of Briefs by the WideAngle system. This allows the manager to configure their brief once, but get fresh insights every time it is sent out.
You can choose the type of Brief when you create it.
The first will arrive at the 'Current Brief' view which allows you to manage the current questions for each week, or add new questions. You will notice Question Slots that are placeholders for each rotating question-to-be within the new Brief. Every week, we will select random questions from the Rotation Bucket to fill those slots.
You can select the max number of questions you would like to have in your Brief, we recommend 3-5, but allow up to 7 per brief.
Visit the 'Rotation Bucket’ tab to view all the questions currently in rotation. To change one of your current questions to be a permanent part of your Brief, click on ‘edit question’ inside the desired question. Here you can toggle from 'Rotating' to 'Pinned' then click update question, it will remove the question from the Rotation Bucket and permanently add it to the Current Brief. Therefore, you will no longer see this question in the Rotation Bucket, but if you navigate back to 'Current Brief' you will see the question.
The ‘Question Archive' tab allows you to view all the questions your decided to archive and allows you to re-activate questions at any time.
To add a brand new question, click on the 'Add Question' button on the left-hand side. You can select multiple questions from our library that will be added to the rotation bucket or create your own question.
Converting a Static Brief to a Dynamic Brief
You can change your Brief from 'Static' to ‘Dynamic' anytime. Go to Settings>Briefs. Click on the gear in the right hand corner, then click 'convert to dynamic'. It will take all of the Current Questions in the Brief and add them to a Rotation Bucket.
